LAKENHEATH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLANNING

The Government recently issued a White Paper called Planning for the Future.  It will mean a major overhaul of the whole planning system, changing it from decision-based to rules-based, and West Suffolk are just about to start their consultation on a new Local Plan which will become the local rules in the new process. But houses are not built in West Suffolk they are built in its towns and villages, so we need to have our own Lakenheath Rules. We cannot change national or district rules, but we can say how they will apply to the Parish, and perhaps what extra things developers will have to take into account. You will understand how really important it is that everybody has their say.
